Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) is a collective name for physical disorders that arise from continual use of equipment (such as computer keyboard and mouse). RSI can manifest itself in a variety of conditions such as Tennis Elbow, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Tendovaginitis.
WRULD is used to describe people who suffer from diffuse pain anywhere in the arm and/or neck. It can be caused by repetitive or forceful activities or by poor posture.
Several symptoms such as aching, cracking, numbness, pain, swelling, tingling, loss of joint movement, loss of strength, and diminishing coordination of the injured area, may come and go before becoming chronic.
The object is to identify the tissues under strain, determine the cause, treat the condition and address the cause so that it doesn’t recur.
